with the building completely outlined in white lights. Find out more about Victoria at the City of Victoria, B.C. web site. The Empress Hotel in Victoria is a great place to have tea. It was originally built as part of the Canadian Pacific chain of hotels, but is now a part of the Fairmont group of hotels. Our favorte hotel in Victoria is the Victoria Regent which is on the inner harbor and offers views of the Parliament Building. Victoria is a quaint and picturesque small city and a quite pleasant place to visit. Visit the Regent Hotel web site. Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island is a short distance from the city of Victoria. It is a fantastic world-famous garden and destination for travelers. It is well worth the time and money to visit. Depending on the time of year of your visit to Butchart Gardens, plan to spend most of a day there and take plenty of film (or digital supplies if you shoot digital). You can find out more at the Butchart Gardens web site. Another place to visit on the web to get information about British Columbia is the site for BC Ferries where you can find all of the ferry schedules for the area. If you are fortunate enough to visit British Columbia, I certainly hope you enjoy it as much as I have. While you are there, please think about me! |
